- Initiated and managed more than $10M in grants over the last 2.5 years
- Led the Foundation's grant making in the areas of innovations in metropolitan policy and in the intersection of urban dynamics, information technology and issues of inclusion
- Key member of foundation teams addressing 1) the challenges of urbanization and urban poverty, 2) reforming federal transportation policy and 3) encouraging innovation in the social sector
- Initiated and managed grants in South East Asia, South Asia, East Africa, South Africa, South America and the U.S.
- Worked with international urban poor networks such as Slum Dwellers International and the Asian Coalition for Housing Rights
- Co-initiated pioneering meetings in the nexus of new media and urban policy (Open Cities Conference) and technology and urban management (CityCamp and TransportationCamp).
- Facilitated the first US led global celebration of World Habitat Day (2009)
- Initiated scenario planning exercises that clarified the key tasks for transportation reform advocacy groups ahead of the change of leadership in the US Congress in 2009
- Provided initial and key funding support to groups such as Code for America
- Co-chaired the advisory committee for Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum's follow-up exhibition to Design for the Other 90%
- Convened critical meetings on The Future of Crowd-Sourced Cities and The Roles of the City
